Powys Integrated Training:CAF TAF & Information Sharing Training Dates


CAF and the LRSP


Tier 1 or PTHB Level 3
One Plan Outcome: Powys families are safe and supportive places in which to live

Aim/ Nod:
To promote effective use of the CAF and associated tools to deliver early interventions to children and their families.

Key Learning Outcomes/
Prif Ganlyniadau Dysgu:
   To understand the benefits and contexts of using the CAF.
   To be able to offer and undertake a common assessment within the practitioner’s operational age range.
   To utilise the completed CAF to seek additional resources
   To use the CAF to form an action plan for service delivery.

Information Sharing to Support Integrated Working

Tier 2 or PTHB Level 1
One Plan Outcome: People in Powys feel and are safe and confident
Aim/ Nod:
Promote working knowledge about the regulations & practice on Information Sharing between agencies. This course is part of the training offered to promote effective multi-agency working as part of the Local Resource Solution Panel and Common Assessment Framework initiatives, under the Children and Young People’s Partnership plan with the seven core aims at its heart.

Key Learning Outcomes/
Prif Ganlyniadau Dysgu:
      Understand the regulations on sharing information with consent
      Know how to assess a child’s competence to give his or her own consent to sharing of personal information
      Know which adults holds Parental Responsibility for a child
      Know when to share information without consent
      Explore agency policies on recording and storage of personal information
      Be cognisant of the Powys Protocol on Sharing Personal Information

Please note that this course is a follow on from the CAF & LRSP in Tier 1.

Key Learning Outcomes/

  Understand the benefits of the T.A.F. model to early integrated service delivery
  Able to manage co-ordinating the work of self and others
  Able to manage & review action plans at TAC level
  To chair meetings of co-workers and child and family
  To manage exit plans for ending service delivery
