Powys' Support Intervention Framework

Powys County Council’s Children’s Commissioning team are setting up a Therapy, Support, Intervention and Assessment framework which will be used to procure services for our Children, Young people and Families as need is identified. We would encourage any organisation or individual who delivers the above, and is interested in providing a service to the Council now, or in the future, applies to sit on our framework.

The opportunity is being conducted on eTenderwales. This website is where you can access the details of the tender and submit your bid for the work you would like to delivery for Powys. The link for this free website is below:

If you would like any help with either of these sites, they both have very  helpful customer service lines. Please also feel free to contact Business Wales who help with how to tender and the stages of tendering.

Once successfull in eTenderwales, if you have any question about the tender itself then please direct these through the messaging facility on eTenderwales.

Closing date: 20th September 2019

News from Tir coed in the Elan Valley

Autumn Update

Its been a busy summer at the Elan Valley for the Tir Coed team. Here's a brief update on whats been happening and how you can get involved.

FREE ACTIVITY SESSIONS

We have had 19 community groups come for free activity session, with 3 more booked in for September, ages ranged from 4 year olds to a group in their 70's.  We are happy to tailor the activities to suit all abilities and there is still time to book your groups in for this year or next.   To qualify for one of our free sessions (either a full or half day your choice) you just need to be a community group based in Powys.  Give Anna a call on 01597 811527 to have a chat.

WE BUILT A ROUND HOUSE

Trainees from our most recent 12 week course have built a Round House on our activity field, this amazing structure will offer shelter and enable us to continue to offer activity sessions throughout the year.  in addition to this great building 8 of our trainees gained accreditation.  We will be running 5 day courses in October and November, these courses are open to anyone, but priority is given to those who are unemployed or under employed.

Powys Business Awards 2019

We are mega excited to announce that Tir Coed has been selected as a finalist for the 2019 Powys Business Awards, Social Enterprise and Charity Category. Judging took place on a rainy Friday in August, followed by filming on the Monday (luckily the sun shone), we will not know the results until the 4th October and are up against strong competition from the Severn Rivers Trust and Corn Exchange Crickhowell.  This wouldn't have been possible without our amazing supporters and participants over the last couple of years, and we'd like to thank you all for being so amazing.

Come work for Tir Coed at the Elan Valley

Do you love the outdoors, are you able to teach a range of skill and lead activity sessions for a diverse range of participants???
If so why not consider joining the Tir Coed family, we are looking for 2 part time activity leaders to be based at our home in the Elan Valley.  See advert below or click here for full information or for an informal chat call Anna or Gayle on 01597 811527
