MESSAGE SENT ON BEHALF OF THE INDEPENDENT REVIEW PANEL

We have been established to consider the future role of Community and Town Councils in Wales. We have been working since September last year with a view to making recommendations to the Cabinet Secretary for Local Government and Public Services in the Autumn.

There are over 735 Community and Town Councils in Wales, but not all areas have them. Some represent populations of fewer than 200 people, others populations of over 45,000 people; but they all work to improve the quality of life and environment for people in their area.

Community and town councils are accountable to local people and have a duty to represent the interests of the different parts of the community equally.

Get involved!

We are keen to hear the views from the youth of Wales!

Tweet using #CTCReview or #MyCommunityMyCouncil.

Submit your views by completing this short survey (external link)

We would like to encourage you to get involved in the review and share this survey with everyone you see relevant.

We would also welcome your more detailed views and thoughts.
Please email us at: Adolygiad.CTC.Review@gov.wales

Please send us your views by the end of May to help inform our thinking.

With kind regards

Independent Panel Members

NEGES AR RAN PANEL YR  ADOLYGIAD ANNIBYNNOL

Sefydlwyd y Panel i ystyried rôl Cynghorau Cymuned a Thref Cymru yn y dyfodol. Rydym wedi bod yn gweithio ers mis Medi llynedd i gyflwyno argymhellion i Ysgrifennydd y Cabinet dros Lywodraeth Leol a Gwasanaethau Cyhoeddus yn yr hydref.

Mae dros 735 o Gynghorau Cymuned a Thref yng Nghymru, ond nid oes un gan bob ardal. Mae rhai yn cynrychioli ardaloedd ag iddynt boblogaeth sy’n llai na 200 o bobl, mae eraill yn cynrychioli ardaloedd ag iddynt boblogaethau sydd dros 45,000 o bobl. Ond maen nhw i gyd yn gweithio i wella ansawdd bywyd ac amgylchedd y bobl sy’n byw yn eu hardaloedd.

Mae’r cynghorau tref a chymuned yn atebol i’r bobl leol ac mae ganddynt ddyletswydd i gynrychioli buddiannau’r gymuned gyfan yn gyfartal.

Mae angen eich help!

Rydym yn awyddus i glywed barn pobl ifanc Cymru!

Trydarwch gan ddefnyddio #AdolygiadCTC neu #EinCymunedEinCyngor.

Cyflwynwch eich sylwadau drwy lenwi’r arolwg byr hwn (dolen allanol).

West Wales Care Partnership (Regional Partnership Board).

The Board are currently seeking nominations for additional service user, carer and third sector representatives.  They have local/regional representation through the CVCs  but what they require now is a representative that can bring a national third sector view so I would really encourage those national organisations who have an interest in this area to apply by the 16th April

The West Wales Regional Partnership Board, established under Part 9 of the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act, brings together partners from Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire County Councils, Hywel Dda University Health Board with third and independent sector representatives, users and carers. It oversees the transformation and integration of care and support in the Region.

We are looking to recruit an additional user representative, a second carer representative and a third sector representative with a national perspective, to join the Board. Further information on the roles and Expression of Interest forms can be found on the West Wales Care Partnership website via the following link: http://www.wwcp.org.uk/featured-on-home-page/recruiting-to-rpf/

Expressions of interest must be submitted by email toWWCP@carmarthenshire.gov.uk by 5pm on Monday, 16 April 2018.
