Consultation on statutory guidance on play opportunities
Local Authorities (LAs) are being asked to to assess the sufficiency of play opportunities for children in their areas.
Start of consultation: 13/04/2012
End of consultation: 25/06/2012
We place great value on play in children’s lives and are committed to increasing play opportunities for all children in Wales. We will be placing a duty on LAs to assess play opportunities in their areas. They will need to provide details on how they will provide sufficient play opportunities in the future.
We are consulting on whether all the issues LAs should consider in their assessment and future plans for play have been covered.
