Children in Wales Seminar


"Autism is my superpower!"
A Disability Forum Information Day


Wednesday, June 13 2012, 9.30am - 4.30pm
Future Inn, Cardiff Bay
This seminar will examine the issues experienced by children and young people with autism from a range of perspectives including the children/ young people themselves, parents and professionals.

Delegates will have the opportunity to hear about: 
  • The services provided by education in Caerphilly, Child Adolescent Mental Health Services in Carmarthen, and the voluntary sector throughout Wales, to support children and young people with autism and their families.
  • What it is like growing up when you have an autistic spectrum condition
  • Being a parent of a child with autism
In addition there will be:
  • Opportunities to meet, exchange ideas and network with other practitioners
  • A range of literature around supporting families affected by substance misuse available to explore.

  • Y gwasanaethau a ddarperir gan addysg yng Nghaerffili, Gwasanaethau Iechyd Meddwl i Blant a Phobl Ifanc yng Nghaerfyrddin a'r sector gwirfoddol ledled Cymru, er mwyn cefnogi plant a phobl ifanc sydd ag awtistiaeth a'u teuluoedd.
  • Sut brofiad yw tyfu i fyny pan fo gennych gyflwr sbectrwm awtistig
  • Bod yn rhiant i blentyn ag awtistiaeth
Ar ben hynny, bydd:
  • Cyfleoedd i gwrdd, i gyfnewid syniadau, ac i rwydweithio ag ymarferwyr eraill.
  • Amrywiaeth o lenyddiaeth am gefnogi teuluoedd sy'n dioddef effaith camddefnyddio sylweddau ar gael i'w archwilio.
