Finance & Facilities Manager
Full-time (35 hours per week); £30,856 per annum

Children in Wales is seeking an experienced Finance and Facilities Manager to join its management team. A part or fully qualified Accountant, or with equivalent experience, applicants will have an excellent working knowledge of SAGE 50 Accounts and Microsoft Office applications.  The post-holder will also have experience and an understanding of VAT, budgeting and compliance in the charity sector as well as grant applications and tenders.  

Responsibilities also include maintaining the functionality of the organisation's two offices, including ICT, and management of staff within the finance department.

Children in Wales is the national umbrella organisation for those working with children, young people and families in Wales and its work is underpinned by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Following the impending retirement of the current Treasurer at the end of his term of office, Children in Wales is seeking to recruit a new Treasurer for the Trustee Board.

 
The Treasurer is responsible for supporting the Trustee Board to oversee the financial running of the charity in accordance with the governing document and legal requirements. The Treasurer will ensure that effective measures, controls and procedures are in place and appropriate for the charity. As a member of the Trustee Board you will be actively involved in strategic planning. The position of Treasurer requires a moderate time commitment (circa 10 meetings per year) and is unsalaried although travelling expenses can be claimed.
