How to
Tender (An Introduction)
This workshop is intended for business
leaders in the early stages of formal tendering, and gives an insight into the
rules, regulations, benefits and processes of tendering in the public and
private sectors. It also provides the business leader with a way of
self-diagnosing whether they are ready to tender, and if so at what stage and
to what level.

This workshop is intended to provide
progression from the Introductory How to Tender workshop and will improve your
tendering abilities by looking at the various additional elements i.e.
effective methodology statements, community benefits, corporate social

This workshop is most suited to those
delegates who have attended the Sell 2 Wales module. It does not aim to provide
detailed practical insight into how specific e-procurement systems work, but

tools and techniques that are commonly being used by the Welsh Public Sector,
as well as Public Sector organisations from outside of Wales.

A large number of tenders and
pre-qualification questionnaires both within the public and private sectors ask
for a Quality Management Accreditation, such as the ISO 9001, as part of the
tendering qualification criteria. This workshop is designed to give businesses
an insight into what is involved to become accredited and what the benefits are
to businesses, what costs are involved, how long it will take to become
accredited, what implications will it have on the business. Businesses can make
an informed decision as to whether or not the Accreditation fits their business
development needs.
