Have your say on Library Services
Library users in Powys will be invited to have their say next month (October) as part of a national survey.
Powys County Council’s Library Service is taking part in a national survey to identify trends and gather a snapshot of customer opinion and needs.
Adult visitors to the council’s branch and mobile libraries may be asked to complete a survey asking for their views on opening hours, staff helpfulness, facilities and the quality of book, computer, multi-media and information services.
The survey, which will start on Monday 8 October and will last for about two weeks, is part of a national programme of information gathering required by the Welsh Government. Results will help the council identify trends and gather a snapshot of customer opinion and needs.
Cllr Myfanwy Alexander, Cabinet Member for Learning and Leisure, said: "We know that the people of Powys value their libraries, this survey will give us a chance to make the service even better in future."
The surveys will be available in both English and Welsh. Completed forms should be posted in the survey reply boxes in branch libraries. Pre-paid envelopes will be available for mobile library customers.
The survey was carried out in Powys in 2009, with over 4,000 Powys residents taking part.
