Providing Support for Parents/Carers ... What's already happening?

Does your group/organisation provide support for parents/ carers at all?

As part of the Powys Children & Young People's Partnership's role to co-ordinate support available for families we want to find out exactly what help is already out there.

The support we are talking about could be very informal to something much more structured such as the Incredible Years Programme.

We want to make sure that all parents/carers in Powys can access something and the appropriate support for them.  The information collected will be used for planning purposes and signposting to parents/carers.  If you would like further support in your parenting work we can help with that too.

You can complete the questions online by using the link below:

Re: Parenting Support in Powys

We know that parents play a crucial role in supporting their children’s social and emotional development and in helping them to do well in school. We also know that access to parenting support benefits a whole range of parents. In Powys we are proud of the range of parenting support offered to our parents from a variety of agencies.

So that we can map out the support that is available to parents and be able to signpost parents to relevant support we would like to know whether you are currently offering any parenting support and, if so, the type of support you are offering. Knowing where the strengths and expertise are across the county will also help to avoid duplication of resources.

If you would like more details regarding the free training and supervision that can be offered locally to support you in your parenting work please get in touch.

We would be very grateful if you could complete the following questions, which should only take a couple of minutes.
Thank you for your help on behalf of the Strategic Parenting Forum in Powys.
