Delays in PIP claims
Recently, Susan Elan Jones MP for Labour, Clwyd South, introduced a debate in parliament on the personal independence payment (PIP) in Wales. She drew attention to the long waiting times faced by many of her constituents, and you can read our news story for further information.

Contact a Family Cymru events and workshops
Contact a Family Cymru is holding two weekend film days this summer, each with a Disney film, kids entertainment and information for families. These will take place on Saturday 21st June in Newport and Sunday 13th July in Porthcawl. We're also holding an outdoor play and adventure event at Alyn Waters Park in Wrexham on Saturday 5th July, with forest schools fun and pedal power.
All the events are free for familes, so to book your place you can email us or call 02920 396624. You can also visit our webpage  to find out more about what we offer.

Are you trying or have you applied to have your home altered to suit your disabled child's needs?
Do you live in Caerphilly, Cardiff, Carmarthenshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Neath Port Talbot, Powys, Vale of Glamorgan or Wrexham? Cardiff University, with Shelter Cymru and Contact a Family Cymru, is seeking the views of families who have looked into and experienced the adaptation process. This could be as a past or current applicant, successful or unsuccessful. The research will provide a picture of what is happening and will assess whether you think anything in the process should change. If you are interested in taking part, please contact us via phone on 02920 396624 orcymru@cafamily.org.uk
