Working with Fathers

 TRAINING PROGRAMME / RHAGLEN HYFFORDDI
Working with Fathers
Working with fathers
Working with Fathers
5 December 2013, Rhyl - Booking Form

A one-day course

This course, aimed at both front line practitioners and their managers, will look at a number of self-assessment tools which can aid an organisation in identifying strengths and weaknesses in their current approach to working with males, and can therefore help to focus on possible areas for service re-design, based on the data analysis.

This course will also:
  • Use research evidence to highlight the benefits for children of services working to engage fathers and other significant males;
  • Will discuss and explore the barriers identified by both males and by services, and suggest approaches which may reduce or remove these barriers.

About the Trainer:

Andy Senior has worked in the children and families field in Wales for over 18 years in both the statutory and voluntary sectors, and has a particular interest in project development, outcomes based planning and early intervention and prevention services. He has recently completed a research project around improving the engagement of the fathers and male carers of children on the Child Protection Register or who are Children in Need.

COST:

Members £80
Non-members £100

This course is also offered as in-house training, please contact hannah.sharp@childreninwales.org.uk for more information.
