YOUTH PRIMARY MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID TRAINING
The next planned training will be at:
Hafren Ward Training Room, Bronllys Hospital, Bronllys, Brecon, Powys
On 27th-28th May 2015 between 9:15am and 4pm
Colleagues will receive a certificate for attending the two days training plus a manual
Tea and coffee will be provided but please bring your own food for lunch
Programme
The Mental Health Conditions considered are
· Depression
· Anxiety
· Self-harming
· Eating Disorders
· Psychosis
· Substance Misuse
During the course we will be exploring how best to help young people deal with their mental health problems using the tool ALGEE. Opportunities will be given to learn how to deal with incidents and subsequent treatments for the young people. Public Health Wales is coordinating this training in Wales on behalf of Welsh Government. This programme was designed in Australia and is facilitated by the four Home Nations.
