Canolfan Maerdy is looking to appoint a bilingual Nursery Manager to run the Lots of Tots Day Nursery based at our Centre in Tairgwaith. You will need to be: qualified (at level 5 or level 4 and working towards level 5) and experienced, enthusiastic, have excellent communication and networking skills, experience of working with diverse organisations, excellent time management, highly organised and a passion for providing highest quality childcare. The Manager will be expected to develop and extend the services offered by Lots of Tots and salary will increase in accordance to their success.
The Nursery is CSSIW registered for 46 children and is based in a spacious, purpose-built, bright building in Tairgwaith, near Gwaun Cae Gurwen, halfway between Pontardawe and Ammanford. It is a well-established crèche with excellent CSSIW inspection reports and an enviable reputation in the local community for childcare that is second to none. The nursery is owned and operated by Canolfan Maerdy, a community enterprise company with charitable status, which boasts a forward thinking Board of Trustees with the shared vision of making a difference in their community and in particular to providing affordable childcare.
We provide high-quality, wrap-around childcare from 0-11 years, with fully experienced and dedicated staff who ensure that each and every child's needs are met in a happy, bilingual environment. We are very proud that we have several children registered with us who are second generation, in that their mother or father themselves attended the crèche as infants. We have various childcare packages to suit all requirements, including popular Breakfast and After School Clubs for school-age children and our Holiday Club where children are kept safe and actively occupied in a fun atmosphere during the school holidays.
Children entrusted to our care are given the opportunity to explore their world in a safe, warm, secure and loving environment. We encourage them to develop their rapidly expanding skills and abilities in a nursery run with a dedicated staff of qualified childcare professionals.
We are members of the Neath Port Talbot Healthy & Sustainable Pre-School Scheme and take very seriously our responsibilities for both providing healthy foods in the crèche and promoting the health and wellbeing of children to parents.
