Suicide Prevention – Employers can make a difference

Aim: To present an overview of Talk to Me and the actions that all, including Employers, can take to reduce the risks of suicide.
Guest Speaker: Dr Ann John, Clinical Associate Professor in Public Mental Health, College of Medicine, Swansea University & Honorary Consultant in Public Health Medicine, Public Health Wales, National Lead for Suicide and Self harm prevention
Programme:
1. To provide an understanding of people’s roles in suicide and self harm prevention via Talk To Me the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention.
2. The children’s and young people’s perspective
3. An understanding of the range of resources available within Powys
To participate in the WebEx, users need a laptop/PC with internet connection and a telephone to dial in for the audio. We recommend people start to join around 20-25mins prior to the start time to allow any potential IT issues to be resolved beforehand. First time users can access a basic test WebEx here to ensure their equipment will support WebEx.
