Child protection: an introduction - a new e-learning course

Child protection is not just the preserve of children’s social care but is also the responsibility of the wide range of professionals and volunteers who work with children and families.

What is this new course about?

Our Child protection: an introduction online training course will give you and your staff a better understanding of how to recognise, respond, report and record concerns about a child.

Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who comes into contact with children or families in their paid or volunteer work. It is an introductory course and you don’t need any specific child protection skills.

What does the course include?

Child protection: an introduction has a series of four modules you can work through at your own pace.

Each module takes about 30-45 minutes to complete and will conclude with a series of five questions, immediately followed by a full explanation of the correct and incorrect answers.

There are teaching pages, film clips, audio recordings, reflective tasks, interactive learning activities and quizzes. You can download a certificate at the end of the course.
