Training: Common Assessment Framework, Local Resource Solution Panel, Team Around the Family, Information Sharing

Don't forget that if you are working with children, young people and their families trustees, staff and volunteers need to be aware and know about how you can be involved in supporting families at the earliest opportunity.  This means families do not move towards crisis but are supported by all those agencies they come in contact with.

The training is FREE and ESSENTIAL for organisations working with children, young people and families.


Aim/ Nod:
Common Assessment Framework, (CAF), Local Resource Solution Panels (LRSP’s) and Team,
around the Family (TAF). To promote effective use of the Powys CAF and its associated tools
and processes to access early-stage interventions to children, young people and their families in the
community. To promote the use of the TAF model and its associated tools in practice to support and
monitor effective planning and service delivery to children, young people and families.

Key Learning Outcomes/ Prif Ganlyniadau Dysgu:

■ To understand the benefits and context of the
Powys CAF and its associated processes and
to access resources to meet additional needs

■ To become confident to undertake a CAF
jointly with the child, young person and family.

■ To understand the benefits of the TAF model
and of the Lead Practitioner (L.P.) role to
children, young people and families and also
to effective practice.

■ To be able to take on the role and
responsibilities of L.P. in order to facilitate
effective multi-agency working.

Information Sharing to Support Integrated Working 

Aim/ Nod: 
Promote working knowledge about the regulations & 
practice on Information Sharing between agencies. 
This course is part of the training offered to promote 
effective multi-agency working as part of the Local 
Resource Solution Panel and Common Assessment 
Framework initiatives, under the Children and Young 
People’s Partnership plan with the seven core aims 
at its heart. 

Key Learning Outcomes/ 
Prif Ganlyniadau Dysgu: 
■ Understand the regulations on sharing 
information with consent 
■ Know how to assess a child’s competence to 
give his or her own consent to sharing of 
personal information 
■ Know which adults holds Parental Responsibility 
for a child 
■ Know when to share information without 
consent 
■ Explore agency policies on recording and 
storage of personal information 
■ Be cognisant of the Powys Protocol on Sharing 
Personal Information
