Sign our petition to protect young witnesses

No child abuse victim should ever have to face their abuser at court | Can't see this properly? Read it online.
NSPCC. Cruelty to children must stop. FULL STOP.
Sign our petition and protect children like Iris*

Last year nearly all of the 21,000 children who gave evidence had to do so from a court building. Having to come face-to-face with their abusers at court left children like Iris feeling frightened and intimidated.

That’s why we’re asking you to sign our #OrderInCourt e-petition and help us make sure no child abuse victim should ever have to go through the same trauma.

We’re calling for the Government to ensure there is at least one remote site in each region in England and Wales, so children like Iris can give their evidence away from court.

What you can do?

Please take action now by signing the e-petition and sharing it with your contacts. Help us reach 21,000 signatures – one for every child who gives evidence in court each year – by September 5thwhen we take the petition to Downing Street.

By acting together, we could persuade the government to make changes to the justice system and win the fight to protect child witnesses.

You can stay up-to-date with the campaign via our website, and visit our blog for further news and views.

Thank you,
