Diary Marker - Regional Consultation event: the draft Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Code

On 10 December 2018 the Minister for Education launched a public consultation on the draft Additional Learning Needs Code (“the Code”) and proposed subordinate legislation under the Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Act 2018 (“the Act”).

The Welsh Government will be holding  Regional Consultation Events that are to take place at the following dates and locations:

The purpose of these consultation events is to directly engage with all those with an interest in the delivery of the new ALN system and to ensure that the rights and duties of delivery partners are clearly understood.

Multi agency Code consultation workshops will be held at each of the events, covering the following themes:

Early Years	Chapter 8
Post 16 specialist (i.e. necessary regulations)	Chapter 12
Advice and info, disagreement resolution	Chapters 6 & 25
DECLO/ multi-agency collaboration	Chapter 15
