BBC
Children in Need Funding Surgery
PAVO is pleased to announce
that two days of pre-booked appointments have been organised in collaboration
with BBC Children in Need. The opportunity to access this very popular funding
programme is open to voluntary and community groups that work with disadvantaged
children and young people. Groups serving POWYS
will be able to apply for a 30 minute appointment with James Bird, a BBC
Children in Need grants officer, to discuss the eligibility and potential of a project
proposal.
Surgeries will be held on Friday 21st September in Ystradgynlais from 10am – 1pm and
Brecon from 3pm – 7pm, and on Monday 24th September in Llandrindod
Wells from 10am - 1pm and Newtown 3pm – 7pm. There will be a maximum of twelve
appointments available each day.
To apply for an appointment please forward an
outline of your project proposal (no more than one side of A4), preferably by
e-mail, to diana.berriman@pavo.org.uk with
your preferred location and second choice. Applications must be
received by Friday 24th
August. Places are limited so please apply ASAP.
BBC Children in Need supports stable,
well-managed, and effective organisations that work with disadvantaged children
and young people aged 18 years and under living in the UK (groups that work
with people of all ages may also apply as long as the project is focused on work with those aged 18 and under).
Disadvantaged children and young people include those affected by:
·
illness,
distress, abuse, or neglect;
·
any
kind of disability;
·
behavioural
or psychological difficulties;
·
living
in poverty or situations of deprivation.
The application should focus on the children your
project will work with and the differences that your project will make for
them. You should be able to clearly demonstrate the link between the
disadvantage and how your project will change the lives of the children
involved for the better. Where possible it should take into account their views
and involve them in decisions that affect them.
BBC Children in Need funds two types of grants The
Small Grants Programme is for grants up to and including £10,000 to support
projects for up to three years. The
charity’s Main Grants Programme is for grants over £10,000 per year to support
projects for up to three years. All projects funded by the charity must
demonstrate a positive impact on the lives of disadvantaged children and/or
young people under the age of 18. Our
funding is accessible all year round with 3 Main Grant deadlines in January,
May and September and 4 Small Grant deadlines in March, May, September, and
December.

hwy. Dylech allu dangos yn glir y cysylltiad
rhwng yr anfantais a sut y bydd eich prosiect yn newid bywydau’r plant dan sylw
