Detached Youth Team within the Youth Service

After the recent Meet the Providers meeting held at PAVO on 13th April, Stephen Peace, Strategic Commissioning and Project Manager for the CYPP has sent some additional information for clarity.

So that everyone is up to date the links to the presentation and information from the meeting is below.

Additional information is to clarify the on-going development of the Detached Youth Team, the information is to compliment the information provided in the presentation sent out to providers after the meeting on the 13.04.18.

Providers are asked to be aware that the Detached Youth Team within the Youth Service provide support to young people from the ages of 16 -25 providing support for any additional identifying need (referrals are received via TAF or direct from partners).

Some of the areas of work will include supporting young people to sustain employment and education, to support young people at risk of homelessness, and also to help young people to make the transition from year 11 to further education, employment or training, as well as those who are NEET with barriers to engagement.

The service also works across the whole spectrum, from universal to more intensive support.
