In May 2018 the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into effect. Organisations need to start planning now to make sure they are fully compliant when the new regulation is implemented.
To help you prepare, WCVA in conjunction with the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office) will be holding free monthly webinars from May 2017 focussing on data protection.
Our #DesktopData sessions take place from the comfort of your own computer and will cover topics such as:

- Privacy by design
- Cyber security
- Subject Access Requests
Plus there'll be opportunities for you to decide future themes by telling us what it is you need to know.

Coming up - Data Sharing
Organisations are required to collect and share personal data in a way that is fair, transparent and in line with the rights and expectations of the people whose information you are sharing.
This webinar will help you to identify the issues you need to consider when deciding whether to share personal data. It should give you confidence to share personal data when it is appropriate to do so but should also give you an understanding of when it is not acceptable to share personal data.
