PAVO will be holding a meeting for interested voluntary organisations on Wednesday 8 November (10.00am -12.30pm) at the PAVO Offices in Llandrindod Wells to discuss the recent CSSIW report upon Powys County Council's Children's Service .
Powys County Council has published an initial outline of the action it intends to undertake in the preparation of an improvement action plan; including a commitment to " ensuring that all agencies concerned with protecting and improving outcomes for children and young people will work together to deliver improvements". A multi agency improvement board, which involves representatives from a number of independent agencies including PAVO, has been established to inform and address the the improvement actions which the CSSIW report requires.
This is a significant opportunity for voluntary organisations in Powys who work with Children's Services or support users of Children's Services, to share your experiences and insights to help inform the the work to be done to improve Children's Services.
The meeting will be an opportunity to:
- Review the finding of the CSSIW report
- Share and capture organisations' experiences and insights about Children's Services in Powys
- Begin a conversation about how the Sector may wish to engage in helping inform Powys' improvement plan
If you or other members of your organisation wish to attend, please book your place by calling 01597 822 191 or email darren.smith@pavo.org.uk
