Powys Carers Service (now Credu – Connecting Carers with a website to be launched in the near future), has been awarded with a contract to support Carers and Young Carers in Powys from 1stAugust 2016.
We are delighted to be able to build on our work with Carers and very much want to work with your organisations and groups throughout Powys, because Carers will get a much better deal if we all pull together.
Opportunities for voluntary groups and organisations to support Carers / collaboration.
Many of you already support Carers / Young Carers or at least have a great deal to offer Carers; we have a small budget set aside to work with Carers as well as specialist organisations / local groups. This budget is going to be split to different areas of Powys to enable Carers to have as much decision making Power as possible – so each area will be in touch over the next year. You are also very welcome to get in touch with what you want to offer Carers.
What support we offer to Carers?
Please see the leaflet below to get a sense of what support we offer to Carers. As well as the attached, there is Carers ‘drop in’ support at Marlow on South Crescent, Landrindod Wells and at the Siop ac Hwb in Machynlleth on the main street opposite the job centre.
