Stalking and Harassment for workers in the Domestic Abuse sector

This course will assist workers working within the domestic abuse sector to learn about how to best support victims of stalking within the new legislative framework.
This course will include;
- The profile of the victim.
- The profile and typologies of the perpetrators
- A summary of the new changes within the legislative framework
- How to respond and support effectively.
- How to use a stalking risk assessment toolkit & how to manage risk.
- Cyber and digital stalking - the risk involved and advice for victims.

Listening Skills Training

Listening is one of the most important skills you can have as a professional operating in the domestic Abuse sector. How well you listen has a major impact on the support you offer victims of domestic abuse, sector professionals and your relationships with others. It also would have an impact on the effectiveness of your services to others.
This half-day workshop will introduce participants to what is good listening and what skills we need to demonstrate active listening to our client group working with domestic abuse and sexual violence cases. This course is for new members of staff, as well as staff looking for a refresher in listening skills. And how to deal with crisis calls.
