Gweithdai’r Gyllideb

Annwyl
Fel rhan o waith y cyngor yn cysylltu â’r cyhoedd am ei gyllideb ar gyfer 2014/15, rydym yn gweithio gyda Bwrdd Iechyd addysgu Powys i gynnal nifer o weithdai ym mis Ionawr i drafod goblygiadau’r gyllideb.
Fel y byddwch yn gwybod, mae’r cyngor wedi galw ar gymunedau Powys i ddod at ei gilydd i leihau effaith y toriadau gwerth £20m i gyllideb refeniw’r cyngor ar gyfer y flwyddyn ariannol sy’n dod.
Hoffem eich gwahodd i fynychu un o’r gweithdai isod:
Dydd Llun, 13 Ionawr
Y Plas, Machynlleth
Neuadd Les y Glowyr, Ystradgynlais

Dydd Mercher 15 Ionawr
Theatr Hafren, Y Drenewydd
Eglwys Elim, Aberhonddu

Dydd Iau, 16 Ionawr
Gwesty’r Commodore, Llandrindod
Yr Ystafell Gyfarfod, Neuadd y Dref, Y Trallwng.
Bydd yr holl weithdai yn cael eu cynnal rhwng 2pm a 4pm.
.Ym mhob gweithdy, bydd cynrychiolwyr o’r cyngor a’r bwrdd iechyd yn esbonio rhai o’u prif gynigion ar gyfer cyllideb y flwyddyn nesaf, ac yna’n gofyn i chi weithio mewn grwpiau gydag aelodau eraill o’ch cymuned i drafod y cynigion, ac i weld beth y gellir ei wneud i leihau’r effaith.
Allech chi gysylltu â’m cydweithiwr, Ria Claridge ar e-bost ar ria.claridge@powys.gov.uk  neu ar y ffôn ar 01597 82 6729 erbyn 4pm Dydd Gwener 10 Ionawr i ddweud os ydych ar gael i ddod i’r gweithdy.
Dywedwch wrth Ria hefyd os oes gennych unrhyw ofynion arbennig i’ch helpu i gymryd rhan yn y digwyddiad.  Bydd te/coffi/dŵr ar gael o 1.45pm, cyn i’r digwyddiad ddechrau. Bydd croeso i chi gyfrannu at y drafodaeth yn Gymraeg neu yn Saesneg, a bydd offer cyfieithu ar gael.
Os na allwch ddod i’r gweithdy ei hun, efallai y byddai gennych ddiddordeb mewn dod i’r sesiynau ‘taro i mewn’ sy’n cael ei gynnal yn yr un lleoliadau yn hwyrach y diwrnod hwnnw, rhwng 4.30pm a 7.30pm. Bydd cynrychiolwyr o’r cyngor a’r bwrdd iechyd yno i drafod y cynigion yn anffurfiol. Unwaith eto, cofiwch ddweud os oes gynnych unrhyw ofynion arbennig ar gyfer cymryd rhan.
Byddwn hefyd yn gwahodd pobl i gynnig eu barn ar-lein, a bydd holiadur ar y pwnc ar gael cyn bo hir yn www.powys.gov.uk.

Budget Workshops

Dear
As part of the council’s engagement with the public on its budget for 2014/15, we are working with Powys teaching Health Board to hold a number of roundtable workshops in January to discuss the budget’s implications.
As you are probably aware, the council has called on the communities of Powys to pull together to help lessen the impact of £20m worth of cuts to the council’s revenue budget for the coming financial year.
We would like to invite you to attend one of the workshops listed below:
Monday January 13th
Y Plas, Machynlleth
Miners’ Welfare Hall, Ystradgynlais

Wednesday January 15th
Theatr Hafren, Newtown
Elim Church, Brecon

Thursday January 16th
The Commodore Hotel, Llandrindod Wells
The Assembly Room, Town Hall, Welshpool.

All of the workshops run from 2pm until 4pm.
At each  workshop, council and health board representatives will explain some of the main proposals of their budgets for next year and will then ask you to work in groups with other members of your community to discuss the proposals and see what can be done to lessen the impact.
Would you please contact my colleague Ria Claridge by email on ria.claridge@powys.gov.uk  or by phone on 01597 82 6729 by 4pm on Friday January 10 to advise if you are able to attend the workshop.
Please let Ria know if you have any special requirements to help you take part in the event.  Tea/coffee/water will be provided from 1.45pm, prior to the start of the event. You are welcome to contribute to the discussion in English or Welsh, and there will be translation equipment available.
If you are not able to attend the workshop itself, you may be interested in attending the ‘drop in’ sessions being held at the same venues later on the same days, running from 4.30pm until 7.30pm. Representatives of the council and health board will be on hand to discuss the proposals in an informal setting. Again, if you need any special requirements for taking part, please let us know.
We will also be inviting people to feedback their views online and a questionnaire on the subject will be available shortly at www.powys.gov.uk.
Yr eiddoch yn gywir / Yours sincerely,
David Powell
