Launch of Building a Brighter Future - Welsh Government's Early Years & Childcare Plan.
Today sees the launch of Building a Brighter Future, the Welsh Government’s Early Years and Childcare Plan. The Plan defines what we mean by the early years, brings coherence across different policies and programmes impacting on and influencing the early years and sets out action and activity for delivery over the next 10 years.
The key themes are:
• Children’s health and well-being
• Supporting families and parents
• High-quality early education and childcare
• Effective primary education
• Raising standards
The Plan is jointly sponsored by the Minister for Education and Skills and the Minister for Communities and Tackling Poverty and fully supported by Cabinet. Ministers recognise that delivering the ambitions in the Plan will require all of us to work more closely together to improve the life chances and outcomes of all children in Wales.
The Plan can be accessed at the following link:
We would welcome any questions or feedback about the Plan. Please contact us atearlyyears@wales.gsi.gov.uk.
Heddiw mae Adeiladu Dyfodol Disglair: Cynllun y Blynyddoedd Cynnar a Gofal Plant yn cael ei lansio. Mae’r Cynllun yn diffinio’r hyn a olygwn wrth y blynyddoedd cynnar, mae’n cydlynu gwahanol bolisïau a rhaglenni sy’n effeithio ar y blynyddoedd cynnar, ac mae’n nodi camau gweithredu i’w cymryd dros y 10 mlynedd nesaf.
Dyma’r prif themâu:
• Iechyd a lles plant
• Cefnogi teuluoedd a rhieni
• Addysg a gofal plant o ansawdd yn y blynyddoedd cynnar
• Addysg gynradd effeithiol
• Codi safonau
Caiff y Cynllun ei noddi ar y cyd gan y Gweinidog Addysg a Sgiliau a’r Gweinidog Cymunedau a Threchu Tlodi a chaiff gefnogaeth lawn y Cabinet. Mae’r Gweinidogion yn cydnabod y bydd angen i bob un ohonom gydweithio’n agosach er mwyn cyflawni amcanion y Cynllun i wella cyfleoedd pob plentyn yng Nghymru.
Gallwch fynd at y Cynllun drwy’r ddolen ganlynol:
Byddem yn croesawu unrhyw gwestiynau neu adborth am y Cynllun. Cysylltwch â ni ynearlyyears@wales.gsi.gov.uk.
Gan fod yr e-bost hwn yn cael ei anfon gan sawl tîm polisi, mae’n flin iawn gennym os byddwch chi’n ei dderbyn fwy nag unwaith.
