Hello, and welcome to this week’s newsletter. The Gilfach Goch Community Association's building is a community hub at the heart of Gilfach, which apart from hosting multiple other community events, receives funding from Active Inclusion to improve employability in the area. Our Active Inclusion team visited the Centre to meet some of the residents benefiting from the European Funding - read about what they had to say on the website. Our weekly podcast series from gofod3 is well on its way - with every episode giving you a different perspective on topics that matter to Wales’ third sector. Our fourth of the series features Julia Unwin CBE, who has worked on an abundance of vital third sector reports and boards, including Civil Society Futures and The role of kindness in public policy. In this podcast she says that a proper and valuable focus on regulation, measurement and efficiency in the public sector have crowded out kindness; but the major challenges facing public policy demand an approach that is more centred on human relationships.
