The conference will:

Examine what children’s right to play means for planning systems, suggesting ways in which policy could be strengthened to address children’s declining spatial freedom
Discuss findings from two exploratory studies looking at children’s right to play and their perceptions of play in educational settings
Share the results of an evaluation of loose parts play interventions during school play time and the impact on children and school staff.
It will be of particular interest to:
Play sufficiency leads and voluntary play organisations, as well as those involved in: planning, housing, transport, public health, education, social care, community safety and childcare.
