What are the implications?

You are invited to attend a Question & Answer session, co-ordinated by Children in Wales and Wales' Information Commissioner's Office, around the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The GDPR is a European Union directive and its basic objective is to enforce stronger data security and privacy rules, among organisations, when it comes to protecting personal data. The law comes into effect in the UK from 25 May 2018 and ensuring that all the data you collect about individuals and making procedures GDPR-compliant may be a lengthy process.
So, to help understand the key elements of the GDPR and to answer any questions that you may have around its practical application, we are delighted to confirm that Bethan Bonsall, Lead Policy Officer at the Information Commissioner's Office, has agreed to attend this seminar. Please make every effort to attend as the session will be worthwhile.
