The South Wales Programme is working to secure the future of four hospital services for people living in South Wales and south Powys.
On the South Wales Programme website http://www.wales.nhs.uk/SWP/home you will find details of the public consultation about the future of consultant-led maternity services, neonatal care, inpatient children's service and emergency medicine (A&E) at hospitals in South Wales.
The South Wales Programme is made up of the five South Wales health boards – Abertawe Bro Morgannwg, Aneurin Bevan, Cardiff and Vale, Cwm Taf and Powys – working with the Welsh Ambulance Service to create safe and sustainable hospital services for people living in South Wales and south Powys.
The programme’s work has been led by frontline clinicians – doctors, nurses, midwives and therapists – with the aim of providing high quality and safe specialist hospital services which improve the care of the sickest and most seriously injured patients.
All the documents relating to the public consultation can be found on this website, together with public meeting dates and how you can get involved in the consultation and have your say.
