Level 2 Award in Playwork Practice (L2APP)

An opportunity to undertake a new and exciting three day playwork qualification FREE of charge

The Level 2 Award in Playwork Practice (L2APP) has been developed to respond to the needs of the play and playwork workforce as defined in Welsh Government’s statutory guidance, Wales – a Play Friendly Country.

The qualification includes two units:

• Understanding a playwork approach – knowledge and understanding
• Application of a playwork approach – including assessment of competence in practice

L2APP is intended to provide a good foundation of knowledge of children’s play and a playwork approach for practitioners working face to face with children. They include: youth workers, school staff including lunchtime supervisors, hospital play, community development staff and family support.
