Sustainable Social Services & the Social Care Bill


Sustainable Social Services and the linked Social Care Bill will have a major impact on how services are delivered in Wales in the future.  A conference is due to be held on 10th May which aims to highlight some of the many impacts on service delivery, workforce delivery and commissioning.

Key note speakers are secured from CSSIW, Care Council for Wales and Ceredigion/Powys Public Sector in respect of social care service delivery, workforce and commissioning in rural Mid Wales.  The programme will be of interest to the management of public, private and voluntary sector providers and training organisations.

CYPP Training: Birth to Three Matter


Aim/ Nod:
Promoting the overall development of babies and
children under three who have a visual
impairment…
All children develop at their own pace, whether or
not they are blind or partially sighted. However,
babies and young children with sight problems
may need you to help them make sense of the
world around them to awaken their interest in
people, toys and objects. This introductory day will
provide an opportunity for practitioners working
with babies and young children from birth to three
years of age who have a visual impairment to
consider implications for their early development.
It will also explore strategies for developing play
and learning in very young children.

main functions of vision

You are invited to attend one of the anti-bullying roadshows that are taking place throughout Wales in May.
The sessions will raise awareness of the Welsh Government's new anti-bullying guidance and provide delegates with the opportunity to consider key areas of bullying.
There will also be the opportunity to learn from examples of good practise in anti-bullying approaches.

The sessions will last approximately two and a half hours and are aimed at teachers, headteachers, governors, parents and carers, local authority advisors, healthy school coordinators, school police liaison officers and youth workers.
