Free copy of Fun in the Dungeon

Mae Hwyl yn y dwnjwn yn llyfr stori am hawl plant i chwarae.
Mae’r llyfr ar gyfer plant a rhieni, gan alluogi plant i fod yn eiriolwyr fel dalwyr hawliau a rhieni i eiriol dros chwarae’n lleol. Bydd y llyfr stori hefyd yn adnodd defnyddiol i gefnogi gweithwyr proffesiynol yn eu gwaith gyda phlant a theuluoedd.
Gweithiodd Chwarae Cymru gyda storïwr, cartwnydd, plant a’u rhieni yn Ysgol Gynradd Mount Stuart i ddatlbygu’r llyfr stori. Cefnogodd y storïwr gr?p o blant a rhieni trwy gyfres o weithdai, gan ddynodi problemau a dathliadau sy’n gysylltiedig â chwarae. Trwy’r gweithdai, crëwyd geiriau a delweddau i adrodd y stori, gyda’r plant yn darparu darluniau ysbrydoledig o ddelweddau chwareus wnaeth helpu ein cartwnydd i ddod â’r stori’n fyw.
Mae Hwyl yn y Dwnjwn yn cael ei ddosbarthu ledled Cymru.

Fun in the dungeon is a storybook about children’s right to play.
It’s for children and parents, empowering children to be advocates as right bearers and parents to advocate for local play. The storybook will also be a useful resource for professionals to support their work with children and families.
Play Wales has worked with a storyteller, cartoonist, children and parents at Mount Stuart Primary School in Cardiff to develop the storybook. The storyteller supported a group of children and parents through a series of workshops, identifying issues and celebrations regarding play. Through the workshops, words and images were created to tell the story, with children providing inspiring drawings of playful images which helped our cartoonist to bring the story to life.
Fun in the dungeon has been distributed across Wales.
You can ask for a free copy by emailing your postal address to info@playwales.org.uk

Adult Care - for information

Letter from Sally Beech re Domicilary Care - Adults.

Dear All

At the Provider Forum on 26th February 2019, domiciliary care providers were asking for security in an area, in order to be able to make efficiencies.

We have therefore decided to tender for 500 hours (which includes staff that have been identified as eligible for TUPE), with the intention of increasing this up to 1000 hours over a six-month period, within the Llandrindod and Rhayader locality.  This opportunity is currently being advertised as a two-year contract on Sell2Wales and providers will need to submit tenders via etenderWales.

There is a portal on etenderWales that any questions should be directed through.

Regards

Sally Beech Rheolwr Comisiynu Strategol (Hyrwyddo Annibyniaeth) / Strategic Commissioning Manager (Promoting Independence)

Bro Ddyfi Community Hospital

Dear Colleagues

Thank you for your continued support for our exciting plans for the redevelopment of Bro Ddyfi Community Hospital. This scheme will deliver major improvements to the facilities at the hospital.

As you may be aware, we submitted our full planning application last year. As part of the planning process, Welsh Government (as the relevant highway authority for the A489 trunk road) requested further information in relation to highway matters.

We are delighted that this has now been concluded, and full planning approval has been granted.

The additional trunk road access work means we now need to submit a revised Conservation Area Consent Application, and also to update our Full Business Case and re-submit this to Welsh Government. This means that we now expect to conclude the scheme by 2021.

We look forward to working with you to take forward these plans.

Yours sincerely
Hayley Thomas, Director of Planning and Performance, Powys Teaching Health Board
