Partnership & New Community Justice Landscape FREE Conference

Partnership and the new Community Justice Landscape,
Aberystwyth University - 12th June 2013
University of South Wales, Newport - 26th June 2013
Dear Colleague,

Community Justice Cymru would like to invite you to the above FREE conference (offered in both Aberystwyth and Newport) run in partnership with Clinks, Safer Wales, Wales Council for Voluntary Action and Welsh Centre for Crime and Social Justice.

Community Justice Cymru is a third sector network, originally established in 2000, with the aim of enabling organisations which work in the community justice field in Wales to engage with each other, share information, disseminate good practice and shape policy. Community Justice Cymru provides a channel to Welsh Government for the views and concerns of third sector organisations in Wales which work with offenders and/or victims.

This third sector chaired event will reflect the changes that new criminal justice policy brings, at a time that also brings social policy changes and a challenging economic environment, and in the context of the complex mix of devolved and non-devolved services that’s unique to Wales. It includes cross-sector comment on how the new landscape impacts on commissioners, providers, offenders (including young offenders transitioning to adult services) and their families, victims and the wider community. Providers, commissioners, strategic leads and academics are invited to hear the opportunities this new landscape brings and explore solutions to future challenges.

A full programme for the day and information about the workshops is attached.

If you would like to book a place, please complete the attached booking form (2 delegates per agency in the first instance. This is to ensure that as many small organisations as possible are represented. However, once these needs are catered for, further places will be offered out) and email it back to Simon Dowling, by no later than the 29th May 2013, at eventsadmin@wcva.org.uk
