Free Play Wales Conference - Royal Welsh Showground, Llanelwedd

Play Wales is hosting  a conference focusing on children’s play as a public health issue and delivered in partnership between the Play Wales and Public Health Wales. The conference will explore ways in which adults can support children to contribute to their own physical and emotional health through increasing and safeguarding opportunities for playing.
Research shows that children’s play, especially when not overly structured or directed by adults, has a range of benefits to both children and adults. Whilst playing helps children to develop resilience and skills that are beneficial in adulthood, equally important are the immediate benefits to children’s physical and emotional wellbeing.
