Play Leader and Play Worker
in a new project


MARKETING PLAY
                                                    
This is a pilot project based in the renovated Market Hall in Newtown.
The aim is to explore new ways to encourage children’s imagination and sense of play while their parents relax in the cafe or shop at the stalls nearby. The workers will liaise closely with the Food and Land Trust in order to establish regular play sessions there each week, and also at some other venues to be decided.
The Play Leader will need a level 3 qualification in Play Work or an equivalent: hourly rate £11
The Play Worker needs 2 years’ experience of encouraging and planning for play: hourly rate £8.

Assistant Play Leader
for Bryn y Gog Community Play, Machynlleth
 starting August 2016
The Assistant Play Leader will work closely with the Leader to plan and organise the outdoor play sessions running twice weekly, from 11-3 in the holidays and 4-6 after school (plus 1 hour for setting/tidying up). Experience of encouraging child directed play and a related professional qualification at level 3 required.     Rate of pay: £9.00 an hour. The role requires good communication skills, an ability to be enthusiastic and encouraging when it’s wet or cold, and an appreciation of children’s own creativity and ingenuity.
