Joint Strategic Needs Assessment

What do Powys People Need?

Public Sector services, including Powys County Council and Health Board, are looking for the best way to deliver services which people need and will make a difference to them.  This will then be put into a plan for the county.

3rd Sector organisations are perfectly placed to capture stories and case studies which will help to inform the planning process.

Could you let us know if your organisation has information that will help to inform the decisions around delivery of services.  At this stage it doesn't matter the format - we can sort that out.

The more evidence of need for children/young people we can feed through the better picture will be gained.  It will also help make sure all organisations, including your own, are delivering the services that are needed.

We look forward to hearing from you.

PAVO, along with partner agencies, is involved in the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) as we prepare for the development of a Well Being Plan for Powys.
The JSNA usually concentrates exclusively on population data. However, given the requirements of recent legislation (Social Services & Well Being / Future Generations etc), the group is needing to complement this with qualitative information from people / citizens / customers / service users / service providers etc.
The main thrust of this work is to identify need.
Do you or does your project/organisation have information from people / groups that identifies need? If so, would you please send it to me? It doesn't matter at this stage in what format you have the information. Once we know the scope & nature of the info, we can sort out its collation. As ever, we are asked to get the info to the JSNA group as early as possible in the new year. Therefore, if you were able to get back to me asap, that would be greatly appreciated.
Because this information will stregthen the evidence for need, it should also strengthen the case for well resourced services from the sector.
