All Age Participation Project survey

All Age Participation Project Survey Together for Mental Health, the current Welsh government strategy, is the first mental health and wellbeing strategy covering people of all ages and it aims for a smooth transition between youth and adult services. In the last six months, four adults – two “carers” and two “service users” - have been recruited from all over Wales to the National Partnership Board which drives this strategy. They represent the views of adults (only) in contact with mental health services. As the strategy covers people of all ages, now we really need your help. Will you tell us how you would like to get involved in shaping Powys services and have your voice heard on the National Partnership Board? We would like to know the best ways to engage with people from different age groups. How can children and young people contribute to strategic board meetings where important decisions are made about services? How do we include people who may be in the early stages of dementia, or people who may struggle with accessing technology? What are the best ways of including carers in contributing from their own perspectives, but also ensuring the voices of those they are close to are listened to and acted on? Your responses will feed into a report that goes to Powys Teaching Health Board, Powys County Council and Welsh Government. We will provide recommendations on how best to facilitate all age participation and involvement in mental health services.
