Understanding Participation Workshops 20 October 2015, Caernarfon (9.30am-12.30pm) - Online Booking Form 5 November 2015, Merthyr Tydfil (9.30am-12.30pm) - Online Booking Form  10 November 2015, Aberystwyth (9.45am-12.45pm) - Online Booking Form Welsh language only: 10 November 2015, Aberystwyth (1.45pm-4.45pm) - Online Booking Form  A half day workshop  This 3 hour workshop is aimed at anyone working with children, young people and families who would like an introduction to participation for children and young people. The course will enable learners to: Define Children and Young People's Participation and how it relates to Children's Rights under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) Understand the impact and benefits of young people's participation Identify existing participation structures for children and young people in Wales Explore the significance of the participation standards and their application in practice Identify possible barriers and challenges to young people's participation and solutions to these Understand different models and methods of participation Cost: These workshops are FREE  **CANCELLATIONS** This is a FREE event, however there will be a charge of £50 for those delegates who book a place and do not attend.
