First Edition! Summer 2015

Early intervention and support for children and young people under 25 exposed to domestic abuse.

The BRAVE EIP Team are excited to share with you our first Newsletter, packed with details of the Project's progress and attendance at recent events.

Newsletters will be circulated on a quarterly basis, the next one will be due in the Autumn.

NEW VACANCIES within Calan DVS' BRAVE Early Intervention Project - Project Support Officer



Project Support Officer

Salary: £17,500 per annum                                    Hours: full time 37.5 hours                  
Contract term – fixed term until 13th April 2019
Project area - Neath Port Talbot and Powys

The Project Support Officer will provide professional and effective administration services for the EIP Project. Applicants should have experience of providing administrative support within a busy project / office environment. Excellent literacy, numeracy, IT and administrative support skills are required.

VACANCIES within Calan DVS' BRAVE Early Intervention Project - (2 posts)



                                
Calan DVS Big Lottery Funded Project
Early Intervention and Support Services to Children exposed to Domestic Abuse

Calan DVS secured Big Lottery Fund funding to deliver an innovative five year project to deliver a co-ordinated and holistic early intervention and support service to children and young people exposed to Domestic Abuse and build an evidence base to inform policy and future development of services.

SENIOR DEVELOPMENT OFFICER - Powys
Salary: £23,000 per annum – Hours: full time 37.5 hours

As a Senior Development officer, you will be supporting the Powys team in developing new approaches.  You will need to be an outstanding communicator with excellent networking skills, demonstrating experience of working in partnership with agencies and an awareness of local strategies in Powys.  This post requires travelling to the Neath office on occasions.  

SERVICE DEVELOPMENT STAFF - Neath Port Talbot/Powys
Salary: £20,000 per annum – Hours: 30 hours pro rata

We require a development worker experienced in one or more of the following areas
·         Youth work
·         Therapeutic play
·         Service development
·         Developing resources
·         Researching
To develop and research approaches for children and young people exposed to Domestic Abuse.  No experience of Domestic Abuse required.  Training will be provided. 

For both posts - Contract term – fixed term until 13th April 2019                                 
Closing date for applications – 12 noon on Friday 10th July 2015

Interviews to be held in Powys for Senior Development Officer and Powys or Neath Port Talbot for Development Staff

Job share/part time hours will be considered.
