Opportunity to join the Honeypot Team



TEAM LEADER (CHILDREN’S RESPITE BREAKS) Dolfor, Mid Wales


£10.50 per hour

The Honeypot Children’s Charity is looking for a Team Leader to support disadvantaged children between the ages of 5 and 12 on overnight respite holiday breaks at Honeypot Pen y Bryn, Mid Wales.

We’re looking for someone who’s positive and passionate about supporting young carers and vulnerable children, who can provide guidance and set standards for a friendly team of residential playworkers, and is ready to adapt to any challenge. Creativity is good, enthusiasm is a must – you’ll be organising fun activities for children and engaging with them to boost their self-confidence.

The role will be chiefly based at our respite home, Honeypot Pen-y-Bryn, situated in the beautiful countryside near Newtown, Mid Wales. It’ll be here you’ll provide a variety of individual and group activities for children in safe, nurturing environments, with full access to the facilities available, including trampolines, the Galleon adventure playground, and the arts and crafts studio.

You must have experience of working with children in a group environment, a childcare, education or social work qualification and knowledge of Child Protection and Safeguarding. This role requires an enhanced DBS check.

We are recruiting this role on a bank staff basis, although there may be an opportunity for permanent contracts later in the year. Hours will mainly be worked on weekends and school holidays, so this role could fit around existing commitments. For full details, and the Job Description, please visit our website.
