Relationships Shouldn’t Hurt – Drama Production, 28th April

BRAVE EIP
Presents
Relationships Shouldn’t Hurt – Drama Production
Performed at the Guildhall, Brecon, on Thursday 28th April @ 7.30pm

You are cordially invited to join us for this performance & subsequent forum discussion in the Guildhall, Brecon, which is one of three performances taking place across Powys, for the benefit of professionals working with Children & Young People. This forms part of the Lottery funded Brave Early Intervention Project, which is aimed at Building Resilience against Abuse, Violence and Exploitation in young people from the ages of 0-25. The aims of the production are to explore the five areas of domestic abuse and challenge unhealthy behaviours within relationships and young people. This drama forms part of a professional’s toolkit, which will be available for anyone to access, as part of an educational resource across Powys & Neath Port Talbot.
Our Aims for the Drama Resource & Toolkit
>        To produce a resource which will be freely accessible to anyone working with young people
>        To equip young people with the ability to identify the 5 abusive behaviours in relationships; Physical, Emotional, Controlling (Coercive), Sexual & Financial.
>        To raise the profile of domestic abuse and healthy/unhealthy relationships.
      >        To challenge attitudes surrounding domestic abuse & relationships.
>        To illustrate the difference between healthy & unhealthy relationships
>        To enable young people to develop healthy, non violent, safer lifestyles.
>        To help young people to begin to develop positive relationships, whilst also respecting differences between them.

>        To provide signposting to appropriate support services, should this be required.
