1We want organisations to sign up to the Powys Play Pledge: A Charter for Play. Please consider this and details on how to sign up will follow:
1. Play is natural and EVERY child
has a right to play
2. EVERY child should have time,
space and freedom to play.
3. Children have the right to have
their views heard.
4. Adults & Children need to
foster a culture where differences are respected, children are supported when
needed and all feel welcome to play.
5. Adults, in all their various
roles, should help to create the right conditions for children’s play to thrive
in Powys.
6. Organisations should be
committed to help to create the right conditions for play to thrive in Powys.
7. Organisations should recognise
that play has considerable benefits for children’s well-being but these cannot
always be measured.
8. A skilled play workforce should
champion the right to play.
9. Communities should be involved
in celebrating children’s right to play.
